And the cable cars arrive! More than 340 cable cars and ski-lifts in Styria transport 40 million guests on our mountain giants every year. High safety and maintenance policies, special deals for families, schools and group tours and plenty of service facilities comprise the supporting programme for safe mountain travel in summer and winter.

• Safety in the snow, Topic No. 1In the last five years over € 1.5 billion was invested in ski-lift facilities. This makes Austrian cable cars the international leader as regards innovation and comfort. For your peace of mind: According to statistics (based on the number of people transported) cable cars are the safest method of travel there is. In the large Styrian ski resorts, Styrian cable cars are certified with Austria's most advanced piste seal of approval.
   
• Special deals for children and young people'The mountain belongs to the children', the cable cars will also do the following for you: 'Kinderland' projects for the littlest ones, provision of child-friendly pistes, ski taster days for school classes and special discounts. Children under 6 and often even under 10 go for free with more than 95% of local cable car operators. Almost as many operators have special family deals and there are special prices for young people at snowboarding parks, carving runs and ski openings ...

• Taster days for school classesLearn to ski and snowboard when it's best ... In cooperation with regional partners, Austrian cable cars provide taster days for thousands of students in various ski resorts every winter.

The cable cars answer clearly and comprehensively: For example, teachers will find all necessary information for planning and organising school skiing trips under the heading 'Wintersports Weeks'. This includes check-lists, forms, information about ski resorts and various wintersports, services such as curricula, teaching units on ecology, economics, useful addresses, telephone numbers etc.
